The BASHH Annual Conference 2022 will be held from Monday 20th – Wednesday 22nd June at Cutlers’ Hall, Sheffield, UK.   

This year celebrates the Centenary of the formation of the Medical Society for the Study of Venereal Diseases (MSSVD), who merged with the Association for Genitourinary Medicine (AGUM), to form BASHH. Join us in Sheffield to commemorate this with a three-day programme showcasing a wealth of sexual health and HIV topics from a wide range of national and international speakers, as well as a very special 1920’s themed gala dinner. 

As the first full face to face BASHH conference since the pandemic began this is a great opportunity to meet and network with peers, friends and opinion leaders, and is an invaluable forum for learning about the very latest science and sharing of best-practice. 

Early bird rates are open until midday on 23rd May 2022 and several discounted places are available to nurses, health advisors and undergraduates. BASHH scholarships generously supported by ViiV will also be available to researchers, doctors, nurse and students who submit an abstract that is accepted for oral or poster presentation.

When you book one of our events or submit an abstract, we collect personal information about you such as name, address, email, phone, membership status, credit card information any other information required.

Delegates
We may share information with third parties such as the venue for dietary or special access requirements, the hotel for rooming requirements, a limited delegate list that includes your name and affiliation with exhibitors or your finance department for invoicing.  If required, we will also share your attendance signature with the relevant CPD authority.

Registration
By registering you agree to be contacted by BASHH, the event organisers and sponsors or exhibitors (via BASHH), at any time (prior to, during and after) on matters relating to the meeting including promotion of any part of the meeting such as industry symposia.

Speakers
Information such as your name, job title, organisation, photo and biography may be shared publicly on the website and social media, and, to delegates within the programme. Personal information as well as your presentation may also be shared with our AV company.

Where you provide us with personal information about someone else
If you provide us with someone else’s personal information by registering them as a delegate or include co-authors in your abstract, you should only do so if you have their authority or consent to do so. You should also take reasonable steps to inform them of the information set out in the Privacy Policies.

Conference App & Programme
A list of all registered attendees may be added to the conference App and programme which is available only to registered attendees and exhibitors. This includes your name and organisation and does not include contact information. Your name and organisation will also appear on your name badge.

Conference App - Contact Exchange
The Conference App has the facility to exchange contact details with fellow attendees by scanning a QR or bar code - Please be advised that these details include your name, organisation and email address that you register with.

Photographs
Photographs may be taken during sessions, break times, exhibition and social events which may be shared on our website and social media.  If you wish to be excluded from photographs please contact us prior to the event start date.

Communication
We will communicate with you via email, phone or post which may include event and booking details. Third parties may also contact you with conference related promotions.

BASHH will be hosting a Networking Reception for GUM/sexual health/ID/contraception medical trainees, as well as other junior doctors (prospective GUM trainees), and medical students/undergraduates (STASHH) at the Cutlers' Hall from 17.00-19.00hrs on Sunday 19th June.

Payment terms: Only online payments will be accepted at the time of registrations. Cancellations: Notice of cancellation should be made in writing to conference100@bashh.org. Cancellations received by 23rd May 2022 will received a refund minus 20% for administration costs. For cancellations received after this date there will be no refund and if payment has not been received delegates will still be liable for the full delegate fee, this will also apply to delegates registered after 23rd May 2022. Exceptional circumstances for cancellation may be considered after 23rd May 2022 and the final decision will be made by the BASHH Committee. Substitutions of attendees can be made at any time but any changes must be made by contacting the BASHH Annual Conference Managers on conference100@bashh.org. Disclaimer: The conference organiser reserves the right to make changes to the conference programme and speakers without prior notice.
